Outdoor spaces are increasingly being designed for greater flexibility. The Glaslide® sliding door is the perfect addition to your outdoor living area, helping create a comfortable space, all year round.
With our love of the outdoors, Kiwis are always looking for ways to spend even more time outside, but constantly changing weather and frequent cool winds often interfere with relaxing outside, especially at home. So our NZ designers have been focusing on creating even better weather protection for our louvre roof systems, coming up with these stunning glass doors for enclosing outdoor rooms and letting you enjoy more time outside.
A big part of the design was factoring in the different wind forces (wind zones), throughout the country so more homeowners have a choice of glass sliding doors for their outdoor area, even in traditionally exposed regions. Glass panels come in a range of thicknesses and sizes, with maximum widths and heights determined by the locations wind zone.
Solarzip® Vertical Blinds
Adding Solarzip® outdoor blinds to your louvre roof design will offer protection from breezes, damaging UV and inclement weather, and will offer privacy from nearby neighbours.
Modern outdoor screen fabrics are designed to lessen the effects of the wind and let in light without blocking the view. The semi-translucent fabric enables vision through lowered drop-down screens from the inside but blocks out prying eyes from the outside.
Side tracks are fitted onto the support legs/beams which encapsulate the edges of drop-down screens; this holds the screens firmly in place and helps guide the screen for effortless opening and closing.
Optional wind sensors are available that will detect potentially damaging winds and automatically roll the drop-down screens away. Like the Louvre Roof, the motorised operation of the drop-down screens is programmed into one remote control.
